When a U.S. youth national team roster is released, traditional soccer hotbeds – New York/New Jersey, Texas, California and the Pacific Northwest – tend to dominate the hometowns section. Few, if any, players call New England home.

So, who exactly are these players? To answer that, New England Soccer Journal has given the low-down on their careers so far and what lies ahead.
Perhaps some will break into the senior national team picture, following in the footsteps of center back Geoff Cameron (Attleboro, Mass.), center mid Samantha Mewis (Hanson, Mass.) and many more.
