For the first time in Division 3 men’s soccer history, a pair of teams from New England will square off for a national championship.
That’ll be the case when Amherst and Tufts meet Saturday at 7 p.m. in Greensboro, N.C., after the NESCAC sides both rolled past their Final Four opponents Friday night.
In their regular-season meeting on Oct. 12, Amherst (19-1-2) beat Tufts (19-2-2) in double overtime, 2-1. Another cagey, intense affair is an exciting proposition for Jumbos' junior forward Mati Cano.
