WALLINGFORD, Conn. -- All game long during Sunday’s NEPSAC boys Class B championship, Suffield Academy head coach Rick Warren had the look and demeanor of someone who was seeing exactly what he expected.
Warren knew his team was highly potent and capable of utter dominance. And now the rest of the New England prep soccer world knows that as well.
Top-seeded Suffield steamrolled to an 8-1 victory over sixth-seeded Williston Northampton on Sunday at Choate Rosemary Hall to capture the program’s first New England crown since 2005.
The victory featured seven different goal scorers and a tremendous display of talent and balance.
