The NEP New England Regional Cup, in its first year of operation and featuring teams from various leagues, has been unfolding across the region this spring.
The field, spanning from Under-13 to Under-19, has slowly been pared down and semifinals are on the horizon. The Under-19 (boys and girls) semifinals are set for May 15, while other teams are eyeing May 22 for the chance to book a championship game ticket. Progin Park in Lancaster, Mass., is being used as a central location.
Ahead of the semifinals, here's the rundown on all 24 boys teams that are left standing. We've highlighted key players and general notes, with clubs spanning from Rhode Island up through Maine.
Teams are vying for the chance to head to US Club Soccer’s National Cup XX Finals in Commerce City, Colo., from July 16-20. There'll be a six-team boys envoy, representing a smaller New England-based delegation than years past.
