The New England soccer community is coming to terms with a sobering fact: Division II soccer won’t take place, in any competitive shape or form, across the region during the Fall 2020 semester.
The Northeast-10 suspended games and championships through Dec. 31, leaving coaches hopeful for a spring season. That Thursday announcement was anticipated, and came after Post University and Bridgeport University – two programs in southern Connecticut – both cancelled fall sports in the last week.
Twelve D-II programs across the region, 12 reaching the same conclusion due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
