Friday produced an avalanche of Division I postponements around New England college soccer, with upwards of eight additional schools certainly not playing this fall due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The America East Conference postponed its season to the spring, Northeastern (CAA member) intends to instead play this spring and the Atlantic 10 postponed its season with a 60-day “look-in window” that could allow for games to return.
The latter would require a small miracle, UMass women’s head coach Jason Dowiak said, all but ensuring that Massachusetts' flagship school and Rhode Island certainly won't play in 2020.
