New England Revolution Academy teams will return to MLS NEXT competition in two weeks.
"Everybody is very excited," said Rob Becerra, the club's director of youth development. "We’ve had a long preseason, we got back at it in early-January -- they’re craving competition. That’s players and staff. We’re all excited to go compete against somebody else at this point."
For MLS NEXT programs, like the Revs Academy, it’ll be a sprint to the spring finish, which culminates with the playoffs in May and June.
With the schedule set to ramp up for Revolution Academy in the coming months, Becerra says one of the main current themes for the program is to reinforce and continue to strengthen its culture.
