The 2022 MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs begin Saturday in Frisco, Texas.
The New England Revolution Academy will have two sides there, battling for a championship, with its U-15 and U-19 teams competing at the event against the nation’s top squads.
Taking place at Toyota Soccer Center, the second annual MLS NEXT Cup playoffs conclude the MLS NEXT season through a single-elimination competition. Thirty-two teams in the four oldest age groups will play a tournament to decide the four winners. Teams qualified for the playoffs via the regular-season standings, or at the MLS NEXT Flex event last month.
The U-15s qualified in May through the MLS NEXT Flex tournament, going 2-0-1 in group play, and are set to face Inter Miami CF Academy on Saturday at 10 a.m. The U-19s qualified through their final 2-1 win of the regular season and will face off against IMG Academy on Sunday at noon.
