Masconomet Regional takes the biggest leap up in our newest MIAA girls top 10 rankings, thanks in large part to its impressive 3-0 road win on Sept. 21 against the team that was No. 3 in our last rankings, Bishop Feehan.
"We played our game, we passed really well and we moved the ball quickly," Masconomet coach Alison Lecesse said. "And we’d seen a little bit of film and we had an idea of how Feehan would play, and the girls shut it down up the middle."
Natick remains entrenched in the top spot after an impressive 1-0 win at Wellesley on Sept. 17 and four straight clean sheets. The Redhawks are at home for their next three games but they will be welcoming some tough competition to their pitch -- Needham (6-1-1) on Tuesday, Dover-Sherborn (5-2-2) on Oct. 4 and Brookline (4-3-1) on Oct. 8.
