The Masconomet Regional High School girls’ soccer team has gotten contributions from all over the roster during its perfect 10-0-0 start to the season.
So, when the Chieftains have intrasquad scrimmages, there’s some heated competition. But nothing compares to the battle between twin sisters and senior co-captains Amanda and Nicole Schneider (Boxford, Mass.).
"Nicole plays on the left and Amanda plays on the right, so when we scrimmage they tend to go against each other, which kind of steps up the whole atmosphere. They battle hard," Masco coach Alison Lecesse said. "It’s all in good fun, but they don’t take their foot off the gas against each other, and that picks up the intensity for the rest of the team, too."
