Matt Turner has been rewarded for his stellar play with the New England Revolution, signing a contract extension with the club ahead of the 2021 Major League Soccer season.
Speaking from U.S. men’s national team camp in Bradenton, Fla., the Fairfield University product said his new deal involves a pay raise and an extra year. He previously signed a multi-year contract extension in August 2019, which came a few months into Bruce Arena assuming the head coach/sporting director dual role in New England.
One of the premier goalkeepers in MLS, Turner said that Arena's trust played a significant role in putting pen to paper.
