When Lee Nguyen returned to the United States ahead of the 2012 season, he wanted to "get back on the radar" and prove that he could positively contribute in Major League Soccer.
Call it mission accomplished for the attacking midfielder, who has signed with Ho Chi Minh City FC in Vietnam's V.League 1, returning to Southeast Asia nearly a decade after departing its shores.
Nguyen, 34, was out of contract after the 2020 MLS season, one where he joined the New England Revolution on Sept. 8 via trade from expansion side Inter Miami CF. It was his second stint in New England, then another chapter abroad presented itself.
