The 2020-21 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch Lists have been released, and four players with New England connections are present across the men’s and women’s groups.
Handed out annually, the men’s and women’s awards are given to college soccer’s top player. Normally they'd be decided after the fall season, but the 2020-21 winners will be announced May 27 after the COVID-19 pandemic bumped back this year’s season for most teams. Fifteen semifinalists will be named for each award at the end of April, then three finalists will emerge.
Three of the 34 men included either play in New England, are from here, or have strong ties to the region. Of the 54 women included, only one player falls into any of those categories.
