Logan Gdula didn’t know it quite yet, but he received a particularly sage piece of advice during his first professional preseason.
Former FC Cincinnati head coach Alan Koch shared a slice of hard-earned wisdom as on-loan Hartford Athletic defender Gdula (East Lyme, Conn.) took his first steps as a pro: Always keep two bags packed.
“That was a big thing for me,” Gdula, a former standout for Oakwood in the Development Academy, told New England Soccer Journal. “You realize really quickly that you’re all over the place. I can be in Phoenix one month and then all the way in Hartford. Then they can call me back to Cincinnati.
