The Boston Breakers are the lone team to compete in all three American women’s pro leagues, so words like "history" and "tradition" carry a little more weight around here. That’s one reason why Aug. 4 was such a special night for Julie King, as she made her 103rd appearance to break the club record.
Another reason? Kristine Lilly (Wilton, Conn.) — the Hall of Famer whose mark she surpassed — was there to commemorate the occasion.
