When hearing about college soccer transfers, it’s common to see players leave a Division I environment for a Division III one, usually in search of playing time.
As for the other way around? Not so much.
But that’s exactly what defender/midfielder Jules Oberg has done in swapping his Williams days in the NESCAC for Yale ones in the Ivy League. Oberg, previously a three-year player at Berkshire, caught up with New England Soccer Journal via phone from outside of Marseille, France to discuss his decision.
