North Carolina is two games away from winning its third Division I men’s soccer national title in the last two decades, and sophomore forward Jonathan Jimenez (Norwalk, Conn.) is playing a crucial role.
The Tar Heels (9-4-4) recently qualified for this year’s College Cup and await a semifinal match against Marshall on Friday evening (6 pm ET) in Cary, North Carolina.
They’ve knocked off Stanford and Georgetown in quick succession, respectively beating the 2017 and 2019 national champions. Now, the ACC program has the Conference USA side in its crosshairs.
