
The 2025 New England prep school season is only a couple months away, and it’s never too early to look ahead.
That’s particularly true in the perennially talented and competitive Independent School League (ISL), where programs undoubtedly already have their sights set on getting to the top of the standings and into the NEPSAC playoffs this coming fall. Last season, six ISL girls teams qualified for the NEPSAC playoffs -- three in Class A and three in Class B.
In that spirit, we took this offseason opportunity to survey the 13 ISL girls coaches on a handful of questions: Who is the top returning field player in the ISL in 2025? Who is the top returning goalkeeper in the ISL in 2025? Who is a coach in the league you admire? Who is a team on the rise in 2025? What is the toughest road trip in the league?
