With the 2022 NEPSAC soccer season less than five months away, two longtime Independent School League boys coaches have decided to step down from their posts.
Groton head coach David Pedreschi and St. George’s head coach Ed McGinnis will both be leaving the league, and both have been well-respected coaches amongst their colleagues.
"We wish (Pedreschi and McGinnis) the best of success moving forward, and thank them for their commitment to the young men they have led in their tenure at their schools," said Tabor Academy head coach Ian Patrick in an email.
Pedreschi’s co-head coach Joe Martinez, who played at Amherst and also previously coached at Avon Old Farms, will be taking over as head coach at Groton. Meanwhile, former Milton Academy and Messiah University standout Shay Quintin (North Attleboro, Mass.) will take over at St. George’s.
