Continuity could go a long way for Hartford this spring, especially after advancing to the America East championship game in 2019.
And based on Friday afternoon’s America East opener at Albany, a 2-0 win behind two set-piece goals, the Hawks (1-0) are well-positioned to again be in the title hunt.
Hartford returns eight of its 11 starters from last year’s team, which helped soften potential damage from a 476-day layoff. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most Division I teams are now playing a shortened spring season after sitting out the fall.
