Thanks to junior forward Frantz Pierrot (Melrose, Mass.), Merrimack picked up right where it left off.
The 2019 Northeast Conference regular-season champions began its seven-game, conference-only spring season on Monday afternoon with a 2-1 double-overtime win over St. Francis Brooklyn, securing three points at home.
Pierrot scored both Merrimack (1-0) goals, making a statement in his first match since transferring from Atlantic 10 side Saint Joseph’s University. It was a long time coming, too, after the COVID-19 pandemic squashed Merrimack's fall season.
