No, that’s not the only reason Pingree is bound for another NEPSAC Class B tournament. But it helps explain why the team cruised through its regular season undefeated (15-0-1) after graduating players like the Dooley twins from Hamilton, Mass., who are now freshmen at Northeastern.
Nina Dooley was a once-in-a-decade scorer, who wrapped up her four-year Pingree career with 62 goals and 42 assists. From nothing, she could create something. Porter Dooley was the engine in midfield, and they both played for a strong FC Stars ECNL team in the offseason.
