When Hartford Athletic begins its preseason training camp on Monday, the roster is guaranteed to have four players with ties to New England.
That figure could soon blossom, as six players with Connecticut ties have been invited to preseason and will look to impress head coach Radhi Jaidi as he takes over the second-year USL Championship club.
Here’s our look at all six trialists, who will look to join forward Mac Steeves (Needham, Mass.) and midfielders Nicky Downs (Lakeville, Conn.), Harry Swartz (Needham, Mass.) and Noah Paravicini (Dartmouth) as those with roots in the region.
The one trialist who doesn’t have ties to New England is midfielder Conor McGlynn, who was a Second Team All-MAAC selection at Siena in 2019.
