Less than two weeks after parting ways with inaugural coach Jimmy Nielsen, Hartford Athletic have found a new coach to lead the USL Championship club into the 2020 season.
Hartford announced Friday morning that Radhi Jaidi will become its second head coach in club history, having previously led the U-23 team at Premier League side Southampton FC.
Before getting into the coaching ranks, Jaidi made over 100 caps for the Tunisia national team, winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 2004 and competing in the 2002 and 2006 World Cups. In the club arena, he made nearly 500 appearances across stops with Esperance, Bolton Wanderers, Birmingham City and Southampton.
