One of the biggest events on the Girls Academy soccer calendar occurred this past weekend when top club teams from across the country traveled to Greensboro, NC for the GA Spring Showcase.
With hundreds of college coaches in attendance, the showcase represented a prime recruiting opportunity for players and offered local teams a chance to build continuity before Northeast Conference play resumes.
Rhode Island Surf, Bayside FC, Seacoast United and NEFC were the New England representatives in attendance across the U-15 to U-19 age groups. Surf, Bayside and Seacoast all shined at the U-16 level, finishing atop their respective pools with 3-0 records.
