PHOENIX, Ariz. -- One of the top national events on the ECNL Girls calendar took place over the weekend in sunny Arizona.
ECNL Phoenix was held Friday-Sunday at sprawling natural grass venues in Phoenix and Scottsdale. The three-day event featured 314 teams from the U12-U17 age groups. Every team played three games in three days, playing competition of similar levels outside of their conference.
New England clubs were well represented at the showcase, with Connecticut FC, FC Stars Blue, FC Stars White, Scorpions SC and South Shore Select all having competed. Hundreds of college coaches, including many from the biggest and most prominent Division 1 programs in the nation, filled the sidelines, while numerous New England teams and players impressed on the bright stage.
