Final Four weekend is set in Division 3 women’s soccer, but none of the region’s 13 entrants to the 2022 NCAA Tournament remain in contention.
That’s right: For just the second time in the past decade, there won’t be a New England-based program vying for silverware on the season’s final weekend.
However, there are still some New England-centric connections to watch for at Kerr Stadium in Salem, Va. Three of the four semifinalists -- Case Western Reserve, Johns Hopkins and Virginia Wesleyan -- have players from the region for Dec. 2 matches. The final is set for Dec. 4.
