The 64-team field is set for the NCAA tournament.
While all eyes will be on Williams, the defending Division 3 women's national champions, there's plenty of additional New England flare in store. Seven local teams earned automatic qualifiers by virtue of winning their conference tournament, while four at-large bids were also handed out. From that last quartet, three came out of the NESCAC.
Outside of Williams, no local D3 women's program has won the NCAA tournament. The closest were Amherst (2011) and Tufts (2000) as finalists, while Brandeis, Middlebury and Western Conn. State have all made the Final Four.
