MEDFORD, Mass. – Josh Shapiro, head coach of Tufts, knows comparisons to his 2016 national title-winning team are bound to come up.
But that group, he insists, is far different than this year’s. They were built on resiliency and grinding out wins.
“They were more comfortable in uncomfortable situations than any group I’ve ever been a part of,” Shapiro said. “If we had to play defense in our penalty box for 30 minutes it was no big deal.
