When forward Carly Schofield (Plymouth, Mass.) made the decision to transfer from Division 1 Central Connecticut State after her first season in 2022, she had some reservations.
"I was definitely hesitant to do it, just because I did love my team and I did have a great experience there," Schofield said. "Overall, at the end of the day, I just wasn’t my happiest self, and I knew that I could play to my bigger potential. It was a hard decision, but it was a decision I had to make for myself."
Schofield was a dynamic attacking player at Plymouth North High School, as she finished her scholastic career with 60 goals and 27 assists, but she did not have the same success at CCSU. She played in nine matches and recorded one off-target shot.
