When Travis Brent was hired as men’s soccer coach at Franklin Pierce University in December of 2022, he had a unique insight into the Ravens’ program.
Brent spent the previous four seasons as an accomplished assistant coach at the University of Charleston, which was a rival for Franklin Pierce at the Division 2 national level. He scouted the Ravens extensively, watching them play dozens of matches as part of preparing for a potential clash in the NCAA Tournament.
"For me, coming in, I had the conception of what I would like to do with regard to how I wanted to play, but of course, I inherited a team, so I needed to figure out, first and foremost, the caliber of player that we had," Brent said.
