Growing up, Molly Murnane’s father served in the U.S. Navy, so she moved around a lot as deployments took him all over the country and world.
No matter where her father was stationed, however, soccer was the one constant for Murnane, whether it was in Stuttgart, Germany, or Scarborough, Maine. She always embraced the different experiences around the world.
In Stuttgart, where Murnane lived for a year when she was around 10-years-old, she went to a soccer camp where none of the coaches spoke any English and her German was "not all that great," because she had just moved there. Murnane watched and picked up on what other people were doing and participated in drills based on what she saw, which eliminated any language barrier.
