After suffering a torn ACL that caused her to miss her entire freshman season at North Carolina in 2021, it was a long road back for Ally Sentnor (Hanson, Mass.).
But after seeing all that she has accomplished in 2022-23, it’s safe to say that the super-talented forward has returned to the dynamic form that makes her one of the nation’s top players.
The latest example of that came earlier this month, when Sentnor was shining for the U.S. U-20 Women’s Youth National Team.
The former Thayer Academy and South Shore Select star helped the U.S. team secure a berth in the 2024 U-20 FIFA Women's World Cup with a runner-up finish at the 2023 Concacaf U-20 Women's Championship in the Dominican Republic. The U.S. fell to Mexico, 2-1, in the title game.
