Seasons that began in August have been finishing for D1 women’s soccer teams across the country.
But some are still standing, waiting to play in a conference championship game this weekend and hoping to play in the NCAA Tournament after that.
There are seven New England teams that will be playing in their conference title games on Sunday, including two against each other. The winners of those games will get an automatic bid to the 64-team NCAA Tournament field, which will be announced on Monday.
There’s one team looking to repeat, another making a 16th appearance in the final, and one hoping to find some redemption after a tough loss in last year’s final. But there are also some new faces that have made unexpected postseason runs.
