For the first time in 2018, all 21 Division I men’s soccer programs in New England were in action this past week.
Five teams remained unbeaten, with both Rhode Island and UMass Lowell already earning three victories. The other unbeatens – Boston College, Brown and Yale – each have one victory, with the latter two only playing a single match.
URI earned a pair of shutouts over Bryant and Penn State and haven’t allowed a goal this fall thanks to the emergence of freshman Roger Penske in goal. Meanwhile, the River Hawks had a three-game week with a tie at Quinnipiac on Monday, then shutout victories over Boston University and Central Connecticut.
