When looking at recent years of New England soccer, plenty of high-end goalkeepers have come through the region.
Perhaps most prominent is UConn alum Andre Blake, who’s now an MLS All-Star with the Philadelphia Union and is a pillar of the Jamaica men’s national team. Last year saw Harvard sophomore Matt Freese sign a Homegrown Player deal with the Union. There’s also Dartmouth alum Stefan Cleveland, who’s on the books with the Chicago Fire.
Could another goalkeeper of that caliber again be in our own backyard? It’s entirely possible, as some talented shot-stoppers are set to grace programs across our six states.
Here’s a look at the ones you should be watching closely and who carry some pro potential.
