Look around Division 1 men’s soccer and you’re bound to spot a NEPSAC product leaving his imprint on the proceedings.
Class A, B and (some) C programs are home to premier players who tend to couple excellent academics with soccer talent. Those two ingredients are must-haves for college coaches, so it’s no surprise to see them turn to campuses throughout New England for potential recruits.
Mindful of that, New England Soccer Journal has highlighted 15 players – international and domestic – with roots in prep school soccer who are having excellent college seasons. These 15 players ply their trade outside of the region and are listed alphabetically.
One high-profile prep school alum who isn’t included is Justin Donawa. The former Berkshire standout spent the first half of Dartmouth’s season out via injury, but has since bounced back to contribute two goals and one assist in six games. Still, the Ivy League star is a likely Major League Soccer SuperDraft pick this winter.
