As you may have noticed, the Fall 2020 semester was pretty scarce when it came to Division I men's soccer viewing options, especially in New England.
None of the region's 22 programs competed as cancellations piled up, and only Boston College received the go-ahead from its conference and school. But the Eagles ultimately opted out, citing roster availability concerns due to injuries and COVID-19 pandemic factors.
Nonetheless, some locals improved their standing on teams beyond New England. The ACC still competed, as did the Sun Belt Conference.
Here's a rundown of locals who turned heads during the Fall 2020 season. Perhaps more will join them during the Spring 2021 semester, with the NCAA approving a framework for competition. The America East Conference's plan is already public, while the Ivy League has opted against competing.
