When the America East Conference announced its Fall 2020 semester plans this past July, it made clear that it was only postponing – not cancelling – the soccer season altogether.
Speculation around a Spring 2021 season then got further fueled when the NCAA announced in late September that Division I soccer this academic year could occur Feb. 3 through April 17, as followed by a national tournament at 75 percent capacity.
Given those two developments, America East programs received another bout of good news last week when the conference’s Board of Presidents endorsed plans for shifting fall sports to the spring.
