For the first time in nearly three decades, Fairfield University has a new men's soccer head coach.
Vice President for Athletics Paul Schlickmann announced Monday that Krystian Witkowski will serve as the next head coach of the program.
Back in November, legendary head coach Carl Rees stepped down after 28 seasons leading the Stags. Rees is the winningest coach in Fairfield and MAAC men's soccer history with a record of 252-184-70 (.567) in his 28 seasons.
"After an extensive and highly competitive national search, I am excited to announce Krystian as the next head coach of our men's soccer program," Schlickmann said in a statement.
