As the calendar flips to December, it's time to take stock of the 2019 college soccer season across New England.
One of the first stops is naming our All-Rookie Team, which includes standouts from eight different programs. There's one clear leader, though, as Boston College often had four freshmen in the lineup as it returned to the NCAA tournament.
The below team is arranged in a 4-3-3 formation, and seven of the players are from overseas. That speaks to the growing trend in Division 1 soccer, where coaches comb through an international pool when recruiting.
Narrowing the group to 11 was quite difficult, but the final group represents some of New England's top up-and-comers.
