When Trevor Davock was a senior at Rivers, he fondly remembers playing in the 2014 High School All-American Game in Raleigh, N.C.
The experience alongside fellow prep school stars Francis Atuahene (Hotchkiss), Mickey Watson (South Kent), Justin Donawa (Berkshire) and Jack Harrison (Berkshire) is a proud memory, but so is another experience from that weekend.
Providence was in the national semifinal, a thrilling 3-2 overtime loss against UCLA in Cary, N.C., and Davock was in attendance. Mac Steeves (Needham, Mass.) had a brace, Julian Gressel was in midfield and Keasel Broome was at goalkeeper. Davock, then committed to play at Boston College, didn’t quite realize how foreshadowing that weekend would be.
