The Division 1 men’s NCAA Tournament is down to the Sweet 16, and two remaining programs reside in New England.
America East champion Vermont is headed to the third round of the Big Dance for the third straight season.
Meanwhile, UMass, which earned an NCAA at-large berth, is also still competing for a national title.
Next up for UVM will be a matchup at San Diego on Sunday (8 p.m.). UMass will play at Virginia on Saturday (5 p.m.).
