As Division 1 men’s soccer teams take the field and play their season openers across the country this week, local players are poised to provide major contributions for programs beyond the region.
National championship contenders and perennial powers will be relying on players who call New England home to help them fulfill their aspirations in 2022.
With that said, we highlighted 10 players from New England that will be major contributors for D1 programs outside of our six-state region. Of those included, seven are from Massachusetts and two are from Connecticut.
This story isn’t meant to be a ranking or declaration of top-end players. Rather, it’s intended to spotlight New England players shining outside of the region.
