Players compete during the Spring Connecticut Cup. (Connecticut Junior Soccer Association)
For our New England-based coaches, the summer months are a time to have a break from competitive play, recharge and build towards the fall season.
It should also be a time of reflection for coaches who have ended their spring seasons and will be back on the fields come the fall. With reflection should come some form of education and hopefully growth.
Coaches should look to continue to improve their ability to support their players and meet them where they are in their developmental journeys.
As a coaching director, my aim from season to season is to support coaches with feedback and ideas to help improve their players and teams both individually and collectively.
