Personal connections have served head coach/sporting director Bruce Arena well as he's filled out his New England Revolution technical staff, and that’s again the case as their USL League One side prepares to launch in 2020.
Clint Peay will be the head coach of Revolution II, the club announced Monday, after serving as an assistant coach at USL Championship side North Carolina FC in 2019. North Carolina is coached by Dave Sarachan, Arena’s longtime right-hand man with the LA Galaxy and US men’s national team.
Before heading to North Carolina, Peay coached the US U-14 and U-15 national teams. He was also a college soccer coach at Georgetown, Davidson, George Mason and Richmond, serving as head coach of the latter from 2009-12.
