Ever since joining the Brown men's soccer coaching staff in 2016, Trevor Banks has established solid footing in New England. He's now the Ivy League program's associate head coach and is Bruno United's boys director of college development.
Each experience, stretching from his Louisiana roots through present day, gives Banks insight on how systemic racism and inequality have defined the national discourse in recent weeks.
Banks, a proud Black coach, offered his take during a 1-on-1 discussion. More than anything, Banks views himself as a role model for young players.
