The start of a Development Academy season inherently brings about a sense of optimism and excitement. Things are no different with the 2018-19 slate just a week away.
To preview what’s ahead, New England Soccer Journal has already offered club-by-club breakdowns and five noteworthy locals playing outside the region. Now, NESJ presents 10 players who are worth keeping an eye on within the region.
This isn’t a ranking of sorts; rather it’s a handful of college commits and younger players who have all show positive signs thus far. Some are progressing onto older age groups, while others are emerging as leaders at their clubs or moving up the youth national team ranks.
While others will naturally take steps forward during the 2018-19 DA season, the below 10 players have already made strong cases for themselves.
