During the usual life cycle of a Boston Bolts season, the club’s oldest academy teams would be returning from San Diego, Calif., after U.S. Soccer’s flagship summer showcase/playoffs event.
The COVID-19 pandemic threw a wrench into those plans, of course, and we're now two-and-a-half months removed from the Development Academy’s sudden demise. The Bolts, like the region’s other seven academy-level clubs, are wondering when their next competitive game arrives.
If all goes to plan, Bolts’ academy director Marco Koolman said, that’ll occur the weekend of Sept. 12.
