At least one game is in the books for every team in the Northeast Division of USL League Two, and with that two teams from New England are staking an early claim for bragging rights atop the table.
Leading the way is Black Rock FC, which owns a 2-0 record ahead of a Wednesday night matchup against the Boston Bolts in Newton, Mass. Last year's division champions, only in their second year at the USL2 level, knocked off Seacoast United (3-0) and GPS Maine (2-0) to open their 2019 season. Both games came on the road.
Ifunanyachi Achara, a Berkshire alum who's a rising senior at Georgetown, and Ousseni Bouda, a Millbrook School star who's bound for Standford, are leading the way with two goals apiece.
